Who we are
- QuoteDrop is run by House Rendering Experts Ltd (company no. 17085197), Suite 9, Call House Business Centre, Leeds, LS7 1RF. We are the data controller for the details you give us.
What we collect
- Your name, mobile number, email (optional), postcode and, once you accept a quote, your address.
- Details of the job: description, photos or videos you upload, budget, timeframe and messages with your specialist.
Why we use it
- To match each part of your job with one local specialist for the relevant trade and help you get quotes — this is the service you asked for (legitimate interests / steps before a contract).
- To check the service was good and prevent fraud, we may call or message you after your quote.
- We never sell your data, and we only send marketing if you've opted in.
Who sees it
- One independent specialist per trade at a time. Multi-trade enquiries have separate job details, messages and quotes for each trade. Before you accept a quote they only see your first name, rough area and their part of the job. Contact details are hidden from messages.
- Your full address is shared only when you accept their quote, or shortly before a survey visit you've booked.
- Our hosting, storage and messaging providers process data for us under contract, within the UK/EEA or with approved safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Your personal details, photos and messages are deleted automatically 24 months after your enquiry was last active. We keep basic job records with no personal details for reporting.
Your rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Reply to any message from us or write to the address above.
- If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Using QuoteDrop
- QuoteDrop introduces you to independent local trades. Any agreement, price, deposit, payment or guarantee is between you and the trade. We don't hold deposits or provide insurance.
- Trades pay us a fee when a job is booked through QuoteDrop. Our service is free for homeowners.
- Please only upload photos of your own property and don't share other people's personal details.
